Default Upcomming weekend event: Access to Elite missions

Hi

Just found this on the eu guildwars site

http://eu.guildwars.com/news/article...an_elite_theme

This coming weekend offers special bonuses for players who enjoy missions, roleplaying, and unique items. Factions players will be granted access to all Canthan elite missions the entire weekend via an NPC in Kaineng Center. In addition, there will be double rare loot drops within Canthan Elite Missions during the weekend! This exciting weekend will begin on Friday, August 4, at 07:01 GMT (08:01 CEST) and will end Monday, August 7 at 06:59 GMT (07:59 CEST) . We hope to see you there!

Cool ... access to Elite missions AND double drops ... sell those special weapons fast

Both the leading Alliances have the policy that ferriers are only allowed to ask for tips (but are not required).

I used to be a quite famous ferrier when I was in The Kaizen Order (part of Komalis Protector, which owned HzH before it exploded due to drama). I ferried for absolutely free (I even began to refuse tips. )

Plus, any Alliance that tried to charge for ferries somehow spontaneously combusts. That always happens, I never know why.

The purpose of the event is just to raise awareness that Elite Missions even exist. I had received very many tells stating "what's an elite mission?"

Fellblades don't drop as golds in the Elite Missions. Only Zodiac Weapons, Wayward Wands, Staw Effigies, Ironwing Longbow/Flatbows, Dragoncrest Axes, Vertebreakers, Golden Phoenix Blades. (I probably missed something...)

Plus very few of them will have max stats/low requirements anyways.

For clarification purposes: Golden Phoenix Blades do not drop in the Elite missions. Missing from your list are Gavels of the Nephilim, Exalted Aegises, and Oni Blades.

A bit late on this.. Everyone who isn't already parked there, ferried in there, ferrying their entire guild over through the hall, will be now.

I wonder if the bots, er... I mean people who have been chucking in 15-25k faction a day for the last two months will finally give up and realize they're playing a broken system.

this is great news i only play pve and haven't tried any elite missions at all. It will be nice to have the experiance in there and maybe snag a good item, its unfair that only hardcore players/farmers end up with all the godly items and money, where as the casual gamer such as myself struggles to afford 15k armour!
